Mediclaudo is a growth company with solid roots

The background of Mediclaudo is strong. The company was founded on the basis of the product innovation of Ilmajoen Teräsputkikaluste Oy, which has been operating for 60 years, to bring new services and products to the social and health sector.

Our health technology products, which are already on sale, are manufactured in Finland, meet the needs of healthcare and have been tested in use. The customer reference list includes, among others, the Southern Ostrobothnia Hospital District, the Pirkanmaa Hospital District, the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District, Tuomi Logistics and Mehiläinen. Mediclaudo's sales are being expanded both in Finland and internationally, and new partners are currently being identified in Denmark, for example.

Mediclaudo Oy is a domestic growth company that develops digital pharmaceutical distribution solutions for hospitals and nursing homes. We are now seeking funding for developing new software business, conceptualization and planning international growth. At the heart of our growing business is the digitalization of the distribution of medicines.

Medication errors are a major problem worldwide. The information system and equipment developed by Mediclaudo aims to monitor the route of a medicine from the pharmacy to its correct place of use, all the way to the patient. The goal of our business is to provide a seamless medicine delivery process from pharmacy to patient, including both software and hardware solutions for this need.

Strategy of Mediclaudo

Mediclaudo's strategy is to focus its operations specifically on smart, digital solutions in the Social and Healthcare sector. Our operations are related to the international megatrend, where the population is aging and digital solutions are being sought to help. Safe medication is important for both the patient and the relatives and society as a whole.

Alongside geographical expansion, growth is sought by supplementing the product portfolio with our own, innovative product development. The goal is to increase the product portfolio to cover the entire distribution of medicines from the pharmacy to the patient.

Mediclaudo's board and management are experienced professionals in their field. Mediclaudo is a spin-off company of Ilmajoen Teräsputkikaluste Oy. The Eväsoja family has been piloting the parent company for 60 years. The Board also has significant experience in corporate and financial arrangements and the strategic development of companies.

Jussi Eväsoja has a bachelor's degree in economics and is an experienced practical expert in entrepreneurship. Eväsoja is an innovative developer of new products and business. From the beginning, he has been developing Mediclaudo and starting the company’s business. In addition, he is active in the positions of trust of the Association of Entrepreneurs as Chairman of Entrepreneurs in Ilmajoki and as Vice Chairman of Entrepreneurs in Southern Ostrobothnia.

CEO

Ilkka Sillanpää has a doctorate in technology and economics. His core competencies are strategic management of companies and management of corporate networks and supply chains. He has founded several companies and works as an investor and co-owner in technology startups. Sillanpää has more than 15 years of experience in managing and developing international businesses at Metso, Rautaruukki and Konecranes, among others. He has been awarded the title of Docent of Industrial Engineering and Management in the University of Oulu.

Elina Rantamäki on koulutukseltaan YAMK-tradenomi, Masters of Business Administration. Mediclaudolle hyppäsin mukaan tammikuussa 2025. Elina pyörittää myös omaa yritystä joten B2B kauppa, B2C (verkko)kauppa ja digimarkkinointi ja -viestintä on tuttua.

Jukka Peräkorpi started as Mediclaudo's first employee in 2022. Jukka, who works in the product development of electronics, previously worked as a medical equipment maintenance technician at JIK basic services business association.

Electronics design

Marjatta Eväsoja worked as the Director of Internationalization and Culture at the Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia, before retiring. Eväsoja has significant experience in national and international EU funding, implementation of EU projects, regional development work and networking. She previously worked as a marketing manager at the Finnish Savings Bank in Southern Ostrobothnia, developing services, marketing and communications.

Minttu Lampinen holds a PhD in Economics and has studied in Stanford and Oxford top universities. Her core competencies are in digital marketing management. More than 20 years of work experience with a total of 250 customer companies has provided her a broad view of how to grow a sustainable business from innovation.

Juha Lahtinen is the CEO of the international consulting house Export Maker. Export Maker has local team members in more than 20 markets globally. Juha has extensive experience in the technology industry and international trade, especially in the B-to-B and MidCap sectors. Personally, Juha has done export sales to more than 60 countries, building and developing dealer networks and customer relationships in Europe, America and Asia. In addition to Finland, Juha has lived in Sweden and Indonesia.

Jaakko Piri (M.Sc econ.)​
had a more than 20-year career in the family business Piristeel Oy, working as CEO, personnel manager and export manager, among other things. After the acquisition in 2019, he acted as Key Account Manager with responsibility for the largest domestic customers and external export customers. Today, as an entrepreneur, he works with business management and staff mentoring, business development and investing.
